Introduction:

This is non pigmented clear lacquer based on specially design modified resin cured with hardener.


Scope:

It provides excellent protection to Aluminum Formwork. It forms a durable air drying, film over the surface.The product possesses good flexibility, adhesion, water and chemical resistance

Surface Preparation :

STEEL: : Remove grease, oil and other contaminants by using Plasma AL-067 chemical or remove loose rust and dirt by buffing machine to St- 2 Swedish Standard SIS 05 5900. To obtain best result treat the manually cleaned surface with plasma Metal Conditioning Sol. Apply only on a clean and dry surface.

Application :

Stir the base thoroughly; Mix 4 parts of base and 1 part of catalyst by volume to uniform consistency. Let the mixture mature for 15 minutes. Stir it again before and during application.

Brush / Roller:

Apply without thinning. If conditions dilute by adding Plasma TH-067 thinner up to adjusts application viscosity 25-30sec.

Conventional Spray:

If conditions dilute by adding Plasma TH-067 thinner up to adjusts application viscosity 20-22sec. Use any standard equipment at an atomising pressure of 3.2 - 3.8 kg/cm2.

Airless Spray:

Preferable apply without thinning. If conditions dilute by adding Plasma TH-067 thinner up to adjusts application viscosity 20-22sec. Use any standard equipment at an atomising pressure of 3.2 - 3.8 kg/cm2

Tip Size :

0.33 - 0.38 mm, Tip Pressure - 110 - 140 Kg/cm2

Aluminum Formwork :

The basic element of Formwork technology is the panel which is a framework of extruded aluminum sections, welded to an aluminum sheet. The panels are made from a high strength aluminum alloy, with the face or contact surface of the panel, from 4mm thick plate, which is welded to a framework of specially designed extruded sections, to form a robust component. It can be reused over 250 times, the initial cost appears high; however the ultimate cost per sft of forming area is less when compared to traditional methods.

Reason of corrosion :

Basically cement concrete material is alkaline with high pH 12 to 13. This is react on aluminum surface, at the time of concrete making process we are adding water it is react with tricalcium silicate (present in cement) it produce calcium silicate hydrate & calcium hydroxide. The calcium hydroxide reacts with aluminum form Tricalcium Aluminates (calcium oxalate or tricalcim aluminates it does not occur in nature, but is an important mineral pahse in Portland cement.) at time of reaction release hydrogen gas then started corrosion on aluminum surface.

Why Plasma Constro- 067 :

It is barrier coating on aluminum formwork to protect from the concrete. This product specially design with modified resin cured with hardener, it gives strong boding with aluminum surface. It has excellent chemical & water resistance which protects the alkaline attack from the concerts. This product give 20-25 micron coating thickness on the substrate, it helps to long life of substrate. Essy to apply & fast drying, Tack free within one hrs.
